Circuit Court Records Preservation

The CCRP also provides resources needed to process and house the circuit court records that are transferred to the State Archives for safekeeping and increased access; as well as track, duplicate and maintain circuit court microfilm stored in the Library’s media vault.

Public Library Services

The Library Development and Networking Division provides professional consultation and support to more than 300 public libraries in Virginia, as well as to library staff in state agencies, schools, colleges, museums, corporations, and private organizations throughout Virginia. Most of this good work is made possible by federal funding provided through the Library Services and Technology Act program administered by the Institute of Museum and Library Services

State Publications Depository Program

The State Publications Depository Program provides the citizens of the commonwealth with free access to publications produced by state government agencies, boards, commissions and other government entities. The Library of Virginia collects and distributes publications to designated depository libraries around the state, and maintains a digital repository for electronic government publications.

Facilities Rentals

The Library of Virginia is pleased to offer rental spaces for non-library organizations, including state government agencies, at competitive rates. The rental fees are essential for supporting the staffing, technology and maintenance needs of these spaces. In order to ensure that we can continue to provide well-maintained, high-quality spaces for all, we are unable to waive rental fees for any organization.
